This comment the day after our girls camp in December 2011:
Dear Jan & Mike,
I have been sobbing and crying that I am at home and I stayed up all night crying for Chesleigh.
Mum said I could come again but Chesleigh is like my home and I will miss Bruce because this is probably the last time I see him and maybe Ace.
Please let me know what happens to Bruce so we can light a candle and say prayers.
Hopefully next time Frontline will still be there and I will be able to ride him again.
Thankyou for the picnic , tractor ride and the swimming in the river.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and had the best time ever!

Thank you for the most fabulous fun relaxing unreal weekend.
Everyone is raving I have had so many emails saying how much they loved their time at Chesleigh and that they will be returning soon.
Jan thank you for providing us with wonderful wholesome meals and for going to all the trouble creating the master Birthday Cake. You are very talented.
Mike thank you for sharing the history of Sofala and taking us all paning (we now have a panner addict) and for taking us on a journey through poetry.
You have both been wonderful and I can’t thank you enough Andy and I are still on a high and don’t want to come off it!
Please give Teddy hug for me and I hope we return very very soon. We miss Sofala.

Warren, Jordan, Nathan and I just want to say a HUGE thankyou for the most amazing 3 days with you. We all had a ball, relax and every emotion in one! We just arrived home (6.30pm) and Nathan
has only just stopped crying! He misses you and the horses too much! The experience was so overwhelming for him! He only stopped crying coz we promised him we'll return this year.
Please thank Phoebe and the other girl (sorry forgot her name) and many thanx to you both again.
Mike, I can't wait to hear some more of your stories and poems! Jan, my cooking will never taste the same after being spoilt by your expertise! Take care and we'll keep in touch.

Just wanted to say thank you for a magical weekend. It is rare to find such an embrace as what you have given my family last weekend. We have left your beautiful property with memories that will last a life time.
You both are truely great hosts, both food and entertainment were superb!!

Thank you for yet another relaxing, peaceful weekend. The Turon River Ride as always, "tumultuous". Les enjoyed his trusty steed Murray & I, Frontline. Les has asked me thank you again for his birthday
cake- Banana with marshallow icing with sprinkles & candles. Nowadays, he is not accustomed to celebrating his birthdays with friends - His 58th birthday was truly exceptional.

Mike and Jan: Just a quick note from the Burtons to say how much we enjoyed our stay with you last weekend and how awesome your homestead is. I’ve already told a number of friends here in the office about Chesleigh and will be passing on your brochure to a friend named Mark..... who travels with a large group of 30-somethings.
Firstly let me thank you both for a great weekend. As usual, it was perfect.
I am trying to organise our next Chesleigh adventure and I am considering the weekend commencing Friday the 30th of November 07. Could you please advise if this weekend is available. I am considering asking about 10 people, depending on their availability of course.

Just wanted to say thanks again for a great time despite the weather, the kids wish they were still there enjoying the freedom. I'm sure you're busy with the next lot of school holiday guests and am sure they're having a ball too. Give our love to Paula and hope her next journey is satisfying, Chesleigh will be a hard act to follow, and to Amber , all the best and good fortune in the UK and hope the cold is better.

What a lovely weekend and how lucky were we to be at beautiful Chesleigh while storms raged in Sydney!! At least it kept others home as we had a fabulous drive back with no traffic!

There hasn't been a week gone by that the kids haven't been at me to come up. As you know, I'd love to get there once or twice a year. Lesley and Adam hope that you still have Frontline and The Bloke. There's not a week that passes when I'm not thinking about you guys.

The Dee family from Helensburgh...2nd october 2005...We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chesleigh. Mike and Jan, your property is awe inspiring. The riding experience was precious and the cooking traditional and delicious. From beginning to end our visit has been like a journey into Australian
folklore reminding us always of a pas rich in spirit and an opportunity to share this with our children which is becoming more and more rare. The poetry and humour delivered after dinner was for me the highlight of my stay. We'll be back!
