We are famous for our wholesome, delicious food, our terrific horse adventures, gold panning, wildlife and endless bush scenery. Nearer the homestead there are chickens to feed on the farm, open fires to snuggle by, an old fashioned gamesroom, a swimming pool, hot spa and tennis courts.
With room for 20 people there is always something to do or someone to play with while the adults relax and unwind in comfort.
Chesleigh is a 3,000 acre wilderness property tucked into the historic heartland of NSW’s Central West region. It is one of the most popular farmstay holidays and horse riding holidays in NSW. Our homestead has quaint, comfortable and cosy accommodation to suit every holiday or event. Its main point of difference is that it offers genuine Austrailan bush adventure and experiences along side excellent food and lovely accommodation.
Built by hand and family run over the past 45 years, Chesleigh offers a variety of accommodation options catering for family holidays, group celebrations and summer and winter riding camps. We are equally famous for our wonderful and expertly guided horse riding trails and delicious, hearty, home cooked meals. Nestled between rolling hills and trickling creeks, we’re the only venue in Sofala where you will be taught to pan for gold and then have miles of creeks to perfect your skill and try your luck!
For the more active and those who aren’t interested in horse riding we have plenty of games and sports on offer at the homestead; with tennis courts, swimming pool, billiards table and fully fitted games room. There are also many bush walking tracks and running trails where you can really test out your fitness amongst the stunning and rugged beauty of the property. Those seeking a more relaxing escape may choose to stay put in the heated spa with a glass of wine (or mug of tea) taking in the enormous skies and dazzling sunsets. Our bustling bonfire is the heart of our homestead and has heard many a song and tale over the years. It has also toasted a few marshmallows too!
