We all know that the best laid plans of mice and men sometimes don't work, but in this case the garden wedding became a verandah wedding when it rained and the verandah wedding became a games room wedding when it became cold and windy. Plan B became plan F and while the bride and groom were out we moved the garden indoors. The flooding creek held off long enough to get the celebrant in (and out again) and the marriage took place. We were really pleased to be able to make 2 people very happy.
All this rain has transformed Chesleigh. For the first time in years every creek is running, the dams are overflowing and the tanks are full. As spring progresses the green is amazing and at the moment the wattles are stunning. The horses are losing their winter coats and I think Teddy will have to lose some of his soon too, although that requires scissors and he is such a fidget.
I have planted some spring veggies in the veggie garden and the tomatoes will go in soon. All in all, such an optimistic time of the year.
