Not just a Saturday afternoon bushwalking with Mike and the children (parents seizing the golden opportunity for an afternoon nap)
But, out of nowhere - gum leaves, bark curls and bush twigs become prized water craft -  released into the bubbling creek and followed downstream by a cheer squad of kids - rooting for their leaf as it plunges, swirls, sinks and re-emerges dancing toward some dreamt up finish line - oh the heights - the energy. This is what happens when it rains and our creeks run again. They are all running and joy of joys our dam is full to overflowing. Not only all this water, but the wattles are very heavy with flower buds and birds are beginning to dance around in pairs. The days are definitely getting longer and my veggies in the veggie garden are now putting on a bit of a growth spurt. This could be from the worm farm tea I have been giving them or just that spring is not too far away!
Mike is going to be in an ad this week, probably not one you will see, but it will make a different week for him.
Our adorable Teddy is not so adorable. I only mention him because everyone who visits Chesleigh falls in love with him and wants news of his exploits. He is not so adorable because his coat is getting quite long and he loves this new dam full of water...need I actually say more?
Well, have to go, have a great week...
